On Thursday 5th July, in the last week of Term 2, Senior Constable El-Jammal from Cumberland Police Area Command visited StMM’s.
He met with infants to talk about stranger danger and he spoke to primary students about cyber safety and bullying.
It was an eye opening experience for all students to see how easily information can be shared online and a good reminder of why age restrictions exist on popular apps and video games.
He stated that in Australia there is an age restriction of 13 years to access social media accounts such as Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat and therefore, students at St Margaret Mary’s school should not have an account to access these sites.

📜🏛️ Our Year 3 students stepped back in time on an excursion to Hyde Park Barracks and the Museum of Sydney! They explored early Australian history as part of our Community and Remembrance unit. Students learned about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples before European arrival, the impact of settlement, and life as a convict. Did you know that Jesus first revealed His Sacred a heart to our Patron Saint, St Margaret Mary Alacoque, instructing her to devote the first Friday of every month to His Sacred Heart! ❤️🔥 The first image is a sacred icon of Jesus, His heart glowing with divine light and crowned with thorns.
