What a meaningful day for our community 💙 Last Friday, our students took part in a powerful “Walk for Water” as part of Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion. Carrying buckets along a guided track, they experienced just a small glimpse of the daily challenges faced by those without easy access to clean water. Through this experience, students deepened their understanding of compassion, justice and gratitude, reflecting on the reality for people like Sisilia who walk long distances each day for water. Thanks to your generosity, we raised $376.65, bringing our total to an incredible $1778.85 👏 #Caritas #WalkforWater @caritasaust Thank you for supporting this meaningful initiative and helping us make a difference in the lives of others.

700+ Unite for Project Compassion Big Water Walk

More than 700 students and staff from 23 schools across Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) came together for Caritas Australia’s Big Water Walk in support of Project Compassion. Beginning at Parramatta Park, students carried buckets of water along a 4km route, gaining a glimpse of the daily journey faced by people in developing communities, especially women and children, in search of clean water.

We welcomed the team from NRMA who worked with our students on what it truly means to be safe in a car: correct seatbelts, appropriate booster seats, height and age requirements, and the real impact of a crash. The statistics and demonstrations were confronting, but necessary. 🙏🏼 Parents, this is not optional. A seatbelt worn incorrectly or a child moved out of a booster seat too early can mean the difference between walking away and life-changing injury. “It’s just a short trip” is never an excuse! Please ensure your child is in the correct restraint for their age and height, seated properly, and buckled correctly - every trip, every time.
